岡崎エリアに鎮座する浄土宗の大本山。1175年に法然上人が比叡山の黒谷を下り、草庵を結ばれたのがはじまりで、幕末には京都守護職を務めた会津藩主・松平容保（まつだいらかたもり）が本陣を構えた
